Calling all Heart Families

Chad and I met with the Florida's Blood Centers (FBC) Donor Development Coordinator last week and discussed how many of our children receive blood products when they have surgery.  The FBC is VERY interested in working with us, and would like to know if there are any families who would like to give a testimony about their child receiving blood.  If there are enough families willing to do so, they are going to try and rent out a conference room at one of the hotels in Viera, cater dinner and provide media coverage of the event.  If this is something that we could get enough people in on, I really think this would help get awareness of CHD out there… Not a lot of people know that CHD takes more of our children than all childhood cancers combined.

If you are interested, please email me and let me know so I can contact FBC and let them know how many families we have that are willing to participate.  Please help us get awareness out.  This is a big step in involving the community and I think it will help raise the needed awareness of CHD.
